Yan is our resident optometrist having completed her degree of optometry in Cardiff and then moving back home to Cornwall. She trained here at Reynolds & Slater during her pre-registration year with Sophie, Marcus and Philip.
Philip is a highly experienced Optometrist and works with us 3 days a week. He also runs a highly successful home-visiting opticians service.In his spare times he likes horse riding, spending time on his smallholding, playing golf and acting as taxi driver for his children, who are all heavily into their sports.

Tiffany joined the team in 2018 and is now our full time receptionist. She has previously worked in adult social care and always has a welcoming smile when you meet her in practice.
Kim joined Reynolds Opticians in 1986 and is now responsible for most of the spectacle dispensing.
Sophie is joint owner and optometrist. When at work, she enjoys glaucoma, paediatrics and low vision (helping people with poor vision). She holds the College of Optometrists Professional Certificate in Glaucoma.
Marcus was born in Cornwall and raised in Helston. He is mainly based at the Penzance practice, but does work across both practices.
