Reynolds & Slater Optometrists is owned and run by optometrist husband and wife team Marcus and Sophie Slater.
With a reputation for patient centred care and clinical excellence, we provide quality eye care and eyewear in our two friendly and comfortable practices located in Falmouth and Penzance.
We provide both private and NHS services within practice and in the wider community.
Marcus was born in Cornwall and raised in Helston. He is mainly based at the Penzance practice, but does work across both practices.
Sophie is joint owner and optometrist. When at work, she enjoys glaucoma, paediatrics and low vision (helping people with poor vision). She holds the College of Optometrists Professional Certificate in Glaucoma.
Kim joined Reynolds Opticians in 1986 and is now responsible for most of the spectacle dispensing.
Tiffany joined the team in 2018 and is now our full time receptionist. She has previously worked in adult social care and always has a welcoming smile when you meet her in practice.
Dispensing Optician Kate joined the team in 2019 and has been in optics since 1997, having qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 2005. Dispensing Optician Caesha began her optics career in 2010 and qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 2014. She has a keen interest and a natural flare for choosing you the best frame styles and colours. She has a special interest in low vision and helping her patients that have lost sight due to eye disease.…

Philip is a highly experienced Optometrist and works with us 3 days a week. He also runs a highly successful home-visiting opticians service.In his spare times he likes horse riding, spending time on his smallholding, playing golf and acting as taxi driver for his children, who are all heavily into their sports.
Yan is our resident optometrist having completed her degree of optometry in Cardiff and then moving back home to Cornwall. She trained here at Reynolds & Slater during her pre-registration year with Sophie, Marcus and Philip.
